Mediterranean Living II

In the outskirts of a coastal settlement, a two-story building of 240 sqm (including the attics) was designed in a plot of 2000 sqm, for hospitality purposes, divided into three independent segments. The two smaller ones, 60 sqm and 35 sqm, are designed to operate both independently and as an extension of each other. In the first one, there is an open plan kitchen and living area in correspondence with outdoor space, and two bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one on the upper floor, both of which have their own bathrooms. In the 35 sqm residence, of similar philosophy, on the ground floor there are the living room and bathroom, and on the attic the sleeping area. Both floors have attics, increasing the usable area, despite the limited construction surface allowed by the local legislation. At the same time, furniture and partitions are designed particularly for those spaces, influenced by Cretan tradition. Meanwhile, the chosen materials like wood, stone, and natural mortar, which also dominate the exterior areas, expand the boundaries of habitation and create a sense of calm. The residences, equipped with cutting-edge technologies, are suitable not only for short term rental but for permanent living too.

Σε οικόπεδο 2000 τ.μ., σε ιδιοκτησία εκτός ορίων οικισμού, μελετήθηκε η ανέγερση διώροφου κτίσματος πραγματοποιούμενης δόμησης 240 τ.μ. (συμπεριλαμβανομένου των σοφίτων) προς τουριστική εκμετάλλευση. Το κτίσμα υποδιαιρείται σε τρεις αυτόνομες κατοικίες. Οι δύο μικρότερες, 60 τ.μ. και 35 τ.μ., μπορούν να λειτουργήσουν τελείως αυτόνομα είτε ως προέκταση η μια της άλλης. Στην πρώτη σχεδιάζονται ενιαίος χώρος καθιστικού και κουζίνας, σε πλήρη επικοινωνία με τον υπαίθριο χώρο και δύο δωμάτια ένα στο ισόγειο και ένα στον όροφο, με δικά τους μπάνια. Στην κατοικία των 35 τ.μ., σε ίδια φιλοσοφία, στο ισόγειο οργανώνεται το καθιστικό με τους υγρούς χώρους και στην σοφίτα ο χώρος ύπνου. Οι όροφοι και των δύο κατοικιών είναι σοφίτες, προσαυξάνοντας τα ωφέλιμα τετραγωνικά παρά την περιορισμένη επιτρεπόμενη δόμηση. Μεγάλη προσοχή δίνεται στον σχεδιασμό επίπλων και διαχωριστικών, με επιρροές από την κρητική παράδοση και προσαρμοσμένων στις διαστάσεις των συγκεκριμένων χώρων. Η επιλογή φυσικών υλικών, όπως το ξύλο, η πέτρα καθώς και το φυσικό επίχρισμα σε γήινους τόνους, τα οποία κυριαρχούν και στον περιβάλλοντα χώρο, επεκτείνουν τα όρια της κατοίκησης και δημιουργούν συνθήκες χαλάρωσης. Οι κατοικίες πλήρως εναρμονισμένες με την αρχιτεκτονική του τόπου και εξοπλισμένες με τεχνολογίες αιχμής, είναι κατάλληλες και για μόνιμη κατοίκηση εκτός από βραχεία ενοικίαση.
